Timee, the Tokyo-listed spot-work platform, formally launched “Timee BPO” on May 11, 2026, according to the company’s press release. The service lets companies outsource entire business processes to Timee, which assigns workers drawn from its base of 13.4 million registered users.
Unlike conventional fixed-headcount BPO contracts, Timee positions the offering as a “fully variable model” that exploits the flexibility of spot work, allowing clients to place orders in increments of a few days and to match workers with specific industry experience.
To support the service, Timee opened a dedicated, secure BPO call center capable of operating roughly 100 seats. The company said that during a trial period it had already signed 34 client companies, concentrated in IT and SaaS, advertising and staffing.
The launch positions Timee, best known for short-shift matching, as a direct competitor in Japan’s labor-shortage-driven outsourcing market.
