Japanese note app adds plugin-free Obsidian sync and voice input

Yurica’s “Captio-style Simple Memo” for iOS shipped a v3.0 update that auto-appends quick notes to an Obsidian vault without plugins, plus voice input — free.

Tokyo developer Yurica announced that its self-messaging note app “Captio-style Simple Memo” (iOS) began offering an “Obsidian integration” feature on June 1, 2026. The capability automatically appends sent notes to an Obsidian vault without requiring any plugin.

Both the Obsidian integration and a new voice-input feature were rolled out as a version 3.0 update starting May 30, 2026, and the company said both are usable on the free plan. The app follows a “write first, organize later” concept.

The app runs on iPhones with iOS 16.0 or later. To use the append feature, the target Obsidian vault must reside in iCloud Drive or on the device and be accessible via the Files app.

The update targets Japan’s growing community of “second brain” and personal-knowledge-management users, positioning a lightweight capture tool as a front end to the popular Obsidian ecosystem.
